About the Role
As a Senior Associate Attorney, you’ll handle complex litigation matters and collaborate with experienced attorneys to develop effective defense strategies.
Depending on your practice background, your caseload may involve employment-related disputes, general liability claims, or a combination of both.
This position is well-suited for an attorney who is comfortable managing litigation responsibilities independently while working collaboratively with a legal team.
Key Responsibilities
Defend clients in Labor & Employment and/or General Liability litigation.
Manage cases through investigation, discovery, motion practice, negotiation, and resolution.
Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, and other substantive legal documents.
Conduct and defend depositions.
Develop litigation strategies and evaluate case risks.
Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
Prepare cases for trial and participate in trial proceedings as appropriate.
Communicate with clients regarding case developments and legal strategies.
Collaborate with partners, associates, and legal support professionals.
Mentor junior attorneys when appropriate.
Qualifications
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active membership in the Florida Bar.
Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience.
Experience in Labor & Employment litigation, General Liability Defense, or a closely related defense practice.
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
Demonstrated experience handling discovery, depositions, and substantive motion practice.
Excellent communication, organizational, and client management skills.
Ability to independently manage litigation matters and meet deadlines.
Preferred
Management-side employment litigation experience.
General liability or insurance defense experience.
Experience handling complex civil litigation in Florida courts.
Trial preparation or courtroom experience.
Prior experience in a law firm environment.
Compensation & Bonus Opportunity
Base Salary: $130,000–$250,000 annually
Base compensation will be determined by experience, qualifications, and relevant litigation background.
Quarterly Bonuses: Eligible attorneys have additional earning opportunities through the firm’s quarterly bonus program. Specific bonus criteria will be discussed during the interview process.
