Position Summary:
A leading manufacturing company is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to manage and support the design, implementation, and maintenance of its secure network and systems infrastructure. This fully onsite role requires someone with a hands-on approach, strong networking and security skills, and the ability to work in an industrial environment. Local candidates preferred, though regional relocation will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:
Network Administration:
Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, and WLAN networks.

Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability.

Manage firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs.

Plan and execute upgrades and expansions.

Security Administration:
Implement and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and access controls.

Conduct vulnerability scans and forensic analysis.

Develop and enforce company-wide security protocols.

Respond to and resolve security incidents.

Systems Administration:
Install, configure, and manage Windows and/or Linux servers.

Administer Active Directory and related services.

Oversee backups and disaster recovery plans.

Provide technical support to end-users.

Collaboration & Communication:
Work with cross-functional teams to align IT operations with business needs.

Communicate technical details effectively to non-technical staff.

Participate in strategic IT planning and infrastructure projects.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

5+ years of hands-on experience in network and security administration.

Experience working in manufacturing environments with exposure to equipment diagnostics and floor systems.

Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls.

Experience managing both physical and cloud-based infrastructure.

Proficiency in Windows and/or Linux server management.

Familiarity with Active Directory, security standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and compliance requirements.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Scripting in Java, Python, and PowerShell.

Experience with SIEM solutions and log/event management.

Virtualization experience (VMware, Hyper-V).

Security or networking certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Network+, CISSP, CCNA) are a plus.
