📍 Location: Near Midway Airport, Chicago, IL (100% Onsite)
💼 Salary: $175K–$225K (DOE – right fit over salary)
🕘 Schedule: Full-time | Onsite | Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
About the Role:
Our client, a well-established manufacturing company located near Midway Airport in Chicago, is seeking a hands-on IT Manager – Business Systems to lead efforts across enterprise business applications—primarily supporting Supply Chain and Finance operations. This is a critical individual contributor/manager role with no growth trajectory, perfect for a seasoned professional who enjoys deep ownership without leadership aspirations.
This role is 100% onsite with no remote/hybrid flexibility, except for rare, pre-approved circumstances.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and support core business systems, with a focus on Oracle EBS (preferably version 12).
Collaborate directly with Supply Chain and Finance teams to understand operational requirements and enhance system performance.
Ensure systems align with SOX compliance and corporate governance practices.
Act as a backup for the hardware-focused IT Manager when needed.
Execute hands-on technical and administrative responsibilities, including software troubleshooting, documentation, and occasional hardware support.
Oversee complex IT projects from planning through execution in a manufacturing environment.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Experience:
7+ years in IT roles related to business systems management (10+ preferred).
Strong background in Oracle EBS (version 12 highly preferred).
Experience supporting business functions in manufacturing, particularly in supply chain and finance.
Previous work in a public company and familiarity with SOX compliance.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Skills & Traits:

Comfortable with routine and long-term commitments; willing to master the nuances of the role over 3–4 years.
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
