Overview:
A highly respected full-service law firm is seeking an experienced Executive Compensation & Employee Benefits Partner to join its Tax Practice Group. This position offers the flexibility to be based out of any of the firm’s major Florida offices and is ideal for a driven attorney looking to grow within a collaborative, statewide legal team.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide counsel to clients on all aspects of executive compensation and employee benefits

Advise on the design, implementation, and compliance of:

Defined benefit and defined contribution plans

401(k), profit-sharing, and deferred compensation plans

Draft and review executive agreements, plan documents, and compliance-related filings
-
Address ERISA compliance issues and represent clients in dealings with regulatory agencies

Collaborate across offices with the firm’s broader Tax, Corporate, and Employment teams

Support M&A transactions with due diligence and integration planning related to compensation and benefits

Maintain and grow client relationships while contributing to the overall success of the practice group
Key Qualifications:

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a law firm environment

Extensive knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations

Experience advising on retirement, equity, and executive compensation plans

Strong drafting and communication skills with an eye for detail

Member of the Florida Bar or actively seeking admission

A portable book of business is highly preferred
