Overview:
A growing organization in Waterloo, Iowa is seeking a hands-on IT Manager to lead and support their internal technology infrastructure. This role is ideal for an experienced IT professional with a strong background in C# programming, networking, and in-house systems management. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of IT functions, including help desk, infrastructure, and systems support.
Manage all in-house programming and networking requirements, ensuring smooth operations across departments.
Maintain and optimize company networks, servers, and software systems.
Implement and monitor data backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity protocols.
Collaborate with leadership to evaluate and meet business technology needs.
Lead IT-related projects: upgrades, migrations, and system implementations.
Administer software licenses, service agreements, and vendor relationships.
Train and mentor IT team members, when applicable.
Requirements:
Minimum: High school diploma or GED
Preferred: 2- or 4-year degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience: 2+ years in IT, with hands-on experience in:
C# programming
Networking and IT infrastructure
Windows/Linux systems
Microsoft 365 and/or cloud platforms like Azure or AWS
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills
Additional Information:
On-site position in Waterloo, IA – remote or hybrid not available
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Strong preference for candidates currently located within commuting distance
